Teacher will show the PLTW Gateway to Technology CD projected on the front viewscreen using the DVD Player.
While students are viewing the PLTW video the teacher will confirm seating assignments while taking and submitting attendance.
The teacher should set up the Presentation computer with the GTT Course Description Text for Narrator TXT file in MS Notepad and enable Windows Narrator from Start/Menu/Programs/Accessories
refer students to the GTT Course description document, prompt them to place their finger on the first word of the document, then activate the Windows Narrator reader.
While students are actively reading the GTT Course Description document the teacher will walk around the room and moniter progress.
Teacher assist students with logon and accessing the Class Website using Internet Explorer.
When students have successfully logged on and accessed the GTT-DAM-WMS wikispace have them click the A-Week 1 Tab so that they'll know how to access the calendar plan. Review the plan for A-Week 1, then A-Week 2.
Direct the students to the Day 01 - Introduction tab and relate to them where they are presently at in the daily lesson plan.
Direct the students to take their headphones from the top of the monitor, put them on, and plug them into the headphone jack on the front of the computer.
Teacher prompt students to view the "Did You Know 4.0" video individually using Windows Media Player.
While students are viewing the "Did You Know 4.0" video the teacher should distribute an empty Technology binder to each student while doing a walk around and assisting any students having difficulties.
Teacher prompt students to view the "Lesson 1.1 Overview" Powerpoint presentation individually using using their headsets.
While students are viewing the "Lesson 1.1 Overview" Powerpoint presentation the teacher should distribute copies of the Activity 1.1.1 Gateway To Technology Notebook Dividers along with the Sample Engineer's Notebook Entries and Activity 1.1.1a Engineering Notebook Templates to each student while doing a walk around and assisting any students having difficulties.
